Northern Centre - Seniors Christmas Party

Monday, 15 December 2014

On 12th December 2014, the Northern Centre seniors group celebrated their Christmas at the Pennant Hills community hall.

It was a joyous occasion – Cindy entertained the group with her Chinese mandolin (liquin 柳琴), Natalie on the violin and Tracey the zither (guzheng 古箏). Christmas pieces played included ‘Silent Night, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, Jingle Bells, Ode to Joy, Joy to the world, Glory to and the Newborn King .

The Group leader, Mr. Wong, entertained us on his harmonica.  Patrick, on violin played his piece “So Deep is the Night’. Finally, KK sang his favorite - ‘April Love’ – a theme song from a 1957 film of the same name! Brings back memories!

Well done entertainers and organisers.. a very enjoyable and happy day.

The food was delicious, and plentiful…..prepared by the dedicated Christina, Eva and the helpers.

The raffle prize draw soon followed with everyone walking away with something to take home.  Madam LIANG, Hiu Fang (粱惠芳) won the President’s lucky prize draw.

Well done team –Mr Wong, Mr Chiu, Mr Poon and KK (Lau).  It was another successful event. Thank you so much. We recognize your efforts and again take our hats off to you and your team for organizing this successful event.

On behalf of the board and ACCA staff, Merry Christmas and our best wishes to you and your team for 2015.
