The President's Message
I am humbled to be elected as the 14th President of ACCA and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all members for their support. I pledge to serve to the best of my ability with the commitment, energy and vision that have characterised the attributes of all past Presidents.I am proud to say that each member of the new Executive Committee and Council are highly qualified professional or business people who also have a successful track record in community work. I strongly believe that the office bearers will strive to improve and promote the services of ACCA. They will work towards setting new goals and objectives for ACCA and redefine our strategic directions to provide greater relevance for the needs of our members.
This year ACCA will be celebrating its 35th anniversary. We will use this opportunity to reflect on the spirit of ACCA. Our founding members envisioned an organisation that can support and provide for the Chinese-Australian community. With the help of so many volunteers and the support of the community we have been able to meet these objectives all these years.
Our next major event, the 35th Anniversary Gala Ball will be held on 18 July 2009 at the Four Seasons Hotel. It is held in conjunction with Lifeline NSW, another not-for-profit organisation that is highly regarded in the community. I strongly encourage members and their friends to join us in this exciting and worthwhile event.
On behalf of the Executive Committee, I would like to thank our members, volunteers, staff, government officials, and members of the public for their assistance all these years and I look forward to their unwavering support in the future.
Vincent Pang
