NSW 2023 Seniors Festival Celebration

Thursday, 2 February 2023

ACCA held the NSW 2023 Seniors Festival celebration at its Parramatta Service Centre on 2 February 2023. The event was attended by approximately 80 people comprising mainly aged care clients, including elderly members from the local community.

The event began with a welcoming speech from ACCA’s Service Manager, Sharyn DiNatale, who encouraged the participants to get involved in what promised to be a day packed full of entertainment and information.

After the formalities, the entertainment provided attendees a fantastic range of live performances, including a Pipa solo, poetry reading, Cheongsam show, Tai Chi exercise, a sword dance, Chinese and Korean folk dances, a Saxophone and Trumpet Trio.

Guest speakers provided valuable information on important topics such as falls and injury prevention, scam prevention, stress reduction and monitoring high blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

The event also gave the attendees the opportunity to check out an art exhibition, featuring a special 3D paper tole art display, and participate in lucky draws and taste the delicious food on offer.

ACCA appreciates the contribution of the organising team, the artists and performers which made the event such a great success.

We would also like to thank the NSW Seniors Festival Grants team for providing the grant which made this event possible and allowed us to celebrate Seniors Week with the elderly from our community.
