On 21^st October 2016, the Northern Seniors Group held its 17^th Anniversary event at Pennant Hills Leisure and Learning Centre to celebrate the years of friendship shared by the group.

The day started with a concert by our three amazing volunteer singers, Patrick, Connie and Sandy. Singing both traditional Cantonese Opera and also Cantonese pop songs, their amazing voices and well-coordinated songs are definitely unforgettable!

Next up, a word quiz organised by senior member, Mr Wong Sai Tack. It was definitely an entertaining experience where members shared non-stop laughter with each other.

Great company usually comes with great food. Several volunteers had come hours before the event started and worked in the centre’s kitchen the entire morning to bring the group freshly steamed dim sim. Other members also brought along snacks and home-cooked desserts to share.

The last event of the day was a lucky draw followed by the group senior members presenting a token of appreciation to the volunteers. Nobody went home empty handed! It was an exceptional day filled with food, fun and friendship.
