Dear Members,

It is my honour and privilege to be elected the 16^th President of ACCA.  As I step into the shoes and reflect on achievements of past Presidents, I commit myself to review the steps going forward, considering the legislative, financial and service challenges many of the community organisations are currently facing.

I believe ACCA has scope for improvements. Members can therefore expect to see change for the better.

As President, it is my desire to provide strong leadership, stability and growth. We will re-examine how we can better align our business to satisfy new government regulations, improve services to our clients and to secure new government funding. We will also continue to strengthen operational systems, business relationship, and to enter into new partnerships with other organisations, where appropriate.

The new Board comprises of Directors with a diverse range of skills, including young professionals and senior experienced Directors. It is paramount that the Board works cohesively to assist and mentor our young Directors who may be the leaders of tomorrow.

The road ahead for ACCA may be challenging.  However, with a dedicated team, we shall face these challenges with positive outcomes.  Communication is the key to success and we look forward to hearing the views of clients and members.

As a first step, a Planning Day has been scheduled in late August 2014 to reassess the present, future and action plans for ACCA.
