Thank you for giving us the opportunity to tell you how much we appreciate the Home Care Package, HCP (formerly called Community Aged Care Packages) service that our late mother had received over the past 7 years – mid 2008 to late 2015.

As the primary resource for delivering the service, Ms Lai was well regarded by our late mother. She had complete confidence on Ms Lai, who is a competent professional in meeting all her basic personal care essentials.

The HCP service as led by Ms Yan Wang (her predecessor Ms Janice Ngai) and assisted by Ms Agnes Chow deserves commendation as well. All things are negotiable and they are willing to accommodate changes as needs arise. The changeover to a Level 3 Home Care Package with Uniting Care was smooth with no pain. As a result of the well coordinated and all the hard work at the background, the seamless transition went without the notice of our late mother other than she received the benefit of more servicing hours. She continued to receive service from Ms Lai and the other dedicated co-workers under the brokerage system.

And last but not the least is about ACCA. As a reputable organisation in serving the Chinese ethnic group, ACCA has done an excellent job in satisfying home care needs of many Chinese seniors. ACCA has successfully addressed their culturally and linguistic barriers. The regular cultural activities have enriched their social life. More seniors would benefit from services provided by ACCA if fees are more affordable. A lot of pensioners have very little disposable money to meet their daily living.

We really appreciate the help and support that our late mother had received more than we can express. Please accept a very modest donation from our family for all the services that our late mother had received from Home Care Package and National Respite for Carers Program operated under the Western Branch.
