ACCA welcomes new Chief Executive Officer

Monday, 18 January 2016

At the AGM held on 13th December 2015, I announced the appointment of Ms Xuyen Tang who will today commence work as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ACCA.

Xuyen will lead the ACCA team of some 50 professional and support staff, succeeding General Manager, Mr Ted Seng whose contract expired on 31st December 2015. For health reasons, Mr Seng had advised he was not in a position to renew his contract.

Xuyen has extensive background of over 30 years work experience in aged care and community services. She has held senior management roles at the Australian Nursing Home Foundation Ltd, Care Connect Ltd, Uniting Care Ageing, Hills Shire Council Community Care, Anglicare and the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.

Xuyen’s tertiary and vocational qualifications include a Masters of Business Administration from the Australian Institute of Business and a Bachelor of Social Science from the University of Western Sydney. Xuyen also has a post graduate Diploma in Management from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management (Macquarie University) and certified credentials in Six Sigma, a technique for process improvements.

ACCA’s corporate strategy remains centred primarily on the provision of quality aged care services and the growth of community services.  With Xuyen’s strength in business development and management, the Board is confident the stage is set for ACCA to build on its existing strength and to take ACCA on a journey of growth that will deliver not only benefits to existing clients, but also to employees and members.

Please join me in welcoming Xuyen to ACCA.
