ACCA made a donation of $2,000 for Bushfire Relief

Friday, 28 February 2020

ACCA made a donation of $2,000 to the Bushfire Relief Fund in a cheque presentation ceremony at its Surry Hills head office. The cheque was presented by President Tim Feng to The Salvation Army Fundraising Team, represented by Vicki Newham and Andrew Robinson.

Andrew Robinson advised that the money donated will be deposited into a main fundraising account. From this account, the funds will be distributed to the various Salvation Army offices located across the bushfire affected areas in New South Wales and other parts of the country and to assist in rebuilding the bushfire affected regions as well as assisting the rural fire services.

The board of directors of ACCA is pleased to be able to help our hard-working firefighters and their families during this difficult period. We wish our firefighters, their families and their local community well in the coming months.

The ACCA Western Seniors Group also made a $1,000 donation in December 2019 directly to The Salvation Army bushfire relief fund.

ACCA would also like to encourage its members and the Chinese community to make similar donations to assist in rebuilding the communities affected by the bushfires.
