ACCA Directors Attend King Ashoka Charity Ball

Thursday, 20 November 2014

On 15th November 2014, directors Adrian Wong and Felix Lam attended a charity ball – King Ashoka’s Ball, organised by the Pal Buddhist School (PBS) to raise funds for new teachers and resources.

PBS is Australia’s first Buddhist school and is a non-profit organisation located at Canley Vale. PBS is not a religious school. The school teaches the Buddhist values - philosophy of kindness, compassion and understanding of the self. PBS also has an in-house temple opened to students, their families and to the wider community.

The night was full of fun and outstanding entertainment. ACCA dancers performed two dances to the delight of the guests.  The night also included live music performances, raffle, live auction and dancing by students from the school together with teachers and volunteers.

School principal Mr Panha Pal said that many members of the community were still unaware of the school and what it stood for. Having attended the charity ball and gained an understanding of the aims and philosophies of PBS, PBS is a school worthy of community support.

Felix Lam, President
