ACCA Elderly Services, Community Aged Care Packages and Dementia services held a Chinese New Year Luncheon to celebrate the Lunar Year of the Dragon on 1st of February. The luncheon was held at Marigold Restaurant and was attended by more than three hundred ACCA elderly services clients, carers, volunteers and staff.
The luncheon began with traditional lion dance. The Acting President of ACCA, Ms Phoebe Alexander and Assistant Honorary Secretary, Mr Peter Chan then welcomed everyone to the luncheon. They were followed by the fantastic Chinese Opera from ACCA Seniors Group and Tai Chi Soft Ball performance from the Hornsby Senior Group.
There were cheers and applause aplenty throughout the event as everyone was delighted with the banquet, the entertainments, and the lucky draws prizes. The “God of Fortune” came and wished everyone a blessed and wealthy Year of the Dragon.
ACCA would like to extend its gratitude to all volunteers and staff who have worked hard to ensure the luncheon was a success and would also like to wish all our clients a wonderful and healthy new year ahead.
