Friday, 3 May 2019

The ACCA City Seniors Group organised a Cantonese Opera performance at the ACCA Surry Hills centre on Sunday 28 April 2019. The event led by group leader Mr Ching Quan Ho and his team, attracted an audience of approximately 100 enthusiastic Cantonese Opera fans. The opera singers, all of whom are members of the ACCA City Seniors Group, belted out several traditional and well-loved melodies to the enjoyment of the audience.

The event was attended by Eric Wu (President), Shirley Chan (Vice President), Felix Lam (Director) and Ted Seng (General Manager). Everyone enjoyed the Cantonese Opera performance.

Madam Kwong, at 95 years old was the oldest audience on the day. She has been an ACCA member for more than 20 years. The City Seniors Group committee presented a special gift to Madam Kwong to thank her for her unflinching support of ACCA despite her advanced age.  After the Cantonese Opera performance ended, the Directors spent some time talking to Madam Kwong, enquired about her health and asked how ACCA can assist her. The Directors requested the City Seniors Group committee members to provide more support and assistance to the elderly. Madam Kwong was happy with the unwavering support from ACCA at the event.

It was a memorable event. ACCA shows commitment and care to the elderly. Special thanks to all the volunteers and guest performers!
